PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said the votes that went to Sitiveni Rabuka and Professor Biman Prasad in 2018 were useless because the two leaders never looked after the people that voted for them.
The FijiFirst leader said this at a party rally in Field 40, Lautoka, last weekend.
“There is no competition, this is the only vote that will take you forward, not Biman Prasad, not Chaudhry, not Narube, not Sitiveni Rabuka,” Mr Bainimarama told Lautoka residents.
“None of those people — especially Rabuka, Biman and Chaudhary — they don’t have a good track record.
“This is the only government with a good track record in looking after you.
“You will have heard political parties keep telling you to vote us out but we have been here for 15 years because we are doing good for you, if you vote for us we will continue to do good for you.”
Mr Bainimarama pleaded with those at the rally not to vote for a candidate because they were related to them, but rather for a candidate that would bring about change in the country.
“We want to tell you that on December 14, your only option is FijiFirst, don’t just vote for a candidate because he is related to you, you only have one vote, make sure your vote counts.”
